This was taken at his home in Surrey for an ‘at home with’ feature for The Mail on Sunday - Ironically he wouldn’t allowed to photograph inside the house, partly because it was furnished by his then girlfriend Celia Hammond so he didn’t see the point ..…
I photographed him with his cars instead. We were invited to play snooker which I did with my brother who was on school holidays and staying with me (he couldn’t believe his luck as he was a bit of a player at the time). Beck was guitarist with The Yardbirds and of course The Jeff Beck group, he has also played as a session musician on countless other albums including Malcom Mclaren’s Waltz Darling.
